MISSISSAUGA, ON – September 24, 2026 – Lift North America celebrated its 20th anniversary by opening its doors to the clients, partners, suppliers and industry contacts who have been part of its journey since 2006. Held at the company's facility at 6180 Ordan Drive, the 20th Anniversary Open House was, above all, a thank you: to the clients who have trusted Lift North America with their fleets, and to the partners who have stood behind every machine.
This milestone belongs to our clients
Lift North America was founded in 2006 by President Derek Radford with a simple vision: to become the most trusted service provider in the material handling industry. Twenty years later, the company is Canada's largest independent lift truck service provider, proudly serving more than 2,500 active clients across warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, construction, distribution and many other industries.
From day one, the company's philosophy has been simple: put clients first. That means a real person answering every call, more than 50 fully equipped service vehicles ready to respond across Ontario, and a team that follows through from the first quote to the last inspection. Lift North America takes care of its clients, and the company would not have reached this milestone without their trust, loyalty and support.
Growing together with our partners
Lift North America's growth has been built hand in hand with some of the most respected names in the industry. Strong partnerships, together with strategic acquisitions and organic expansion, have shaped the company's journey:
- 2006 – Lift North America is founded.
- 2008 – Surlift joins the organization.
- 2013 – Lift North America becomes a HELI dealer.
- 2016 – Continued investment in technology, the rental fleet and infrastructure.
- 2019 – Acquisition of the Magnum Material Handling Division and expansion to Ordan Drive in Mississauga.
- 2021 – Acquisition of MasterLift.
- 2024 – Expansion into Ajax through the acquisition of P&P Complete Lift Truck Services, better supporting clients across eastern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.
- 2026 – Lift North America celebrates 20 years of putting clients first, with plans to grow the team to more than 200 people and add a new product line.
Today, as Ontario's largest HELI dealer, Lift North America has delivered more than 2,000 HELI units to clients across the country and helped lead the market in lithium-powered equipment. Its partnership with Kärcher Industrial brings floor care solutions to material handling clients, while a recent expansion with Kärcher Municipal equips towns and cities with sidewalk plows and street sweepers. The company's technicians also support Engo's fast-growing fleet of ice resurfacers, keeping rinks across Ontario running.
These partners have supported Lift North America every step of the way, and the company is proud to take care of them just as it takes care of its clients.
Honoured by our community leaders
As part of the celebration, Lift North America was honoured to receive certificates of recognition from the Mayor of Mississauga and from Sheref Sabawy, MPP for Mississauga–Erin Mills, marking the company's 20 years of service to its clients and the community. MPP Sabawy joined the celebration in person and addressed guests.
"Being recognized by our Mayor and our MPP is a true honour," said Radford. "This recognition belongs to our clients, our partners and our team, who have made the past 20 years possible.
Words of thanks and a look to the future
The celebration was honoured by the presence of Sheref Sabawy, MPP for Mississauga–Erin Mills, who joined the team and addressed guests. President and Owner Derek Radford and General Manager and Co-owner Craig MacAdam also spoke, thanking clients, partners and guests for their support and for being part of the company's journey.
"Twenty years ago, we started this company with one promise: take care of our clients. That promise has never changed," said Radford. "Every forklift we sell, service or rent is backed by a relationship built on trust. We would not be here without our clients, our partners and their support. To everyone who has grown with us, thank you. This milestone belongs to you."
"Twenty years is a milestone, but it is also a starting point," said MacAdam. "We take care of our clients and our partners, and they have always taken care of us. With new offerings on the way and a growing team, we are excited about what the next 20 years will bring for everyone who is part of the Lift North America family."
A day to explore and connect
Guests followed a guided route through forklift and equipment displays set up around the building, with larger forklifts greeting visitors at the main entrance. Displays featured new HELI equipment, Kärcher industrial and municipal equipment, the rental fleet and used equipment, along with dedicated service, parts and operator training areas and partner and supplier displays. Throughout the afternoon, guests connected with the Lift North America team, enjoyed a BBQ lunch, shared a 20th Anniversary cake and took part in prize draws.
Lifting our communities
Giving back has always been part of who Lift North America is. As part of the celebration, the company held a skates and helmets donation drive, with guests and team members contributing gently used equipment that will be shared with local organizations supporting children and families in the communities it serves.
Lift North America is also proud to announce a new partnership in support of Ronald McDonald House, which helps families stay close to their children while they receive medical care.
