In 2006, Lift North America was founded with a simple vision: to become the most trusted service provider in the material handling industry.
What began as a small operation built on hard work, strong relationships, and a commitment to doing the job right has grown into Canada's largest independent lift truck service provider.
Today, Lift North America proudly serves more than 2,500 active customers across a wide range of industries, supported by more than 80 dedicated employees who share a common commitment to delivering exceptional service.
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we want to recognize the customers, employees, partners, suppliers, and communities that have been part of our journey. This milestone belongs to all of you.
The Beginning
Lift North America was founded in 2006 by our President, Derek Radford, with a vision of creating a company built around service excellence, reliability, and long-term relationships.
Situated in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area, the company established itself in one of the largest logistics markets in North America.
From the very beginning, our philosophy was simple: put customers first, support our team members, and continuously invest in the future.
Growing Together
Over the years, Lift North America has experienced tremendous growth through both strategic acquisitions and organic expansion.
Along the way, we welcomed talented team members, expanded our service capabilities, increased our rental fleet, and strengthened our presence throughout Ontario and beyond.
Important milestones along our journey include:
- 2006 – Lift North America is founded.
- 2008 – Surlift joins the organization.
- 2013 – Lift North America becomes a HELI dealer.
- 2016 – Continued investments in technology our rental fleet, and infrastructure.
- 2019 – Acquisition of Magnum Material Handling Division. Expansion to our facilities on Ordan Drive in Mississauga.
- 2021 – Acquisition of MasterLift.
- 2024 – Expansion into Ajax through acquisition of P&P Complete Lift Truck Services to better support customers throughout eastern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.

Building Strong Partnerships
Over the past 20 years, we have built lasting partnerships with some of the most respected names in the industry, including HELI, Kärcher, and Engo. These relationships have allowed us to deliver innovative solutions while continuing to expand our capabilities and expertise.
As Ontario’s largest Heli Dealer, together with HELI Canada have introduced new technologies while pioneering a leading market share in lithium-powered equipment offerings. Having delivered more than 2,000 units to customers across the country, Lift North America has played a large role in getting Heli to being a recognized brand in the Canadian Material Handling market.
With Karcher Industrial, we are able to complement our Material Handling customers with service and products for their floor care needs. A recent expansion to partner with Karcher Municipal brings capability to better service our Municipal customers with equipment like sidewalk plows and street sweepers.
Our technicians’ expertise has grown to support Engo in servicing their explosive growth of Ice Resurface machines in Ontario and across Canada. Our technicians keep these sophisticated machines running for rinks across the province so that your team has pristine ice for every skate.
Together, we have introduced new technologies, expanded our electric and lithium-powered equipment offerings, and continued to strengthen our capabilities to meet the evolving needs of Canada’s material handling industry.

Our broad and experienced team of technicians have can fix whatever machines you may have with response times when you need it done. Our parts team can find the most elusive parts from our supply chain of specialized vendors.
Our Rental Fleet typically has what you need to rent when you need to rent it. Our sales and service staff are always striving to solve your Material Handling problems as simply as possible so that you can focus on your core business.
